Big Companies Think We're Stupid
Having read more about Nintendo's announcements at the TGS I'm still not even a little bit convinced. I don't care if there are adaptors that make it appear more like a normal controller, I'm just not sold. Watch the presentation video and tell me you wouldn't feel silly playing a game like that. I mean okay, its not like playing in your underwear is the most dignified thing ever, but there's something about this whole revolutionary controller that's just not sitting right with me at all.Not that Microsoft or Sony are doing much better, they're still desperately trying to impress us with... pre-rendered footage and intro sequences. Yeah, thanks, that's really worked, that's impressed me with the level of graphical detail your consoles are capable of and yes, I truly did come down with the last rain shower. There still isn't anything about the next generation that is even remotely appealing to me, but as ever, the proof is gonna be in the games and I expect they'll turn up sooner or later.
Idiots
Oddly I've been becoming more and more attracted to the PStwo, entirely for the exclusive titles (I'm thinking things like Katamari Damacy, Devil May Cry, God of War), the myriad RPGs and of course the access to the old PSone library (I still miss Final Fantasy VII & Wipeout!). Also it'd be handy to have a DVD player for the bedroom. Its also much cheaper than buying a PSP, and satisfies all the same urges. And still leaves me with the cash to buy an mp3 player!
Today has been a total and utter mess, I slept far too late, had odd dreams about shooting zombies with a high-powered sniper-rifle, and I've just felt peculiar all day. And now I'm going to have a nice relaxing bath and hope that makes things better.
