Worlds Worst Bond (except for George Lazenby)
Is Daniel Craig the worst James Bond ever? Yet more revelations of his on set wussieness have reached our ears, so not only is he sunburned, scared of guns, sick on boats, a man who lost two front teeth in a stunt it now emerges that he can't drive a manual gearbox and so all the production cars are having to be converted to automatics! I realise of course that he's only an actor not a superhero, and as an actor I've enjoyed his work in everything I've seen him in (particularly the awesome Layer Cake), but I just wonder how much it'll be possible to seperate the onscreen image from the offscreen uselessness...I still say Colin Salmon would've been an awesome Bond, despite the fact that he's been a recurring character in the last few Bond flicks. He's got the build, the good looks, an amazing accent... yep, I reckon he'd have been perfect. Who says James Bond can't be a black man anyway?

Nobody really, I like the idea of a female 007. Trouble is of course that female action stars tend not to get their own franchises no matter how hard they try. Still an interesting idea though...
See, I have this post-movie idea that James Bond isn't a REAL identity at all, after all we've seen so many people call themselves James Bond in the movies, but that its one of a series of cover identities that MI5 use for the 00 agents. So that way almost anybody could be given the nom-de-guerre of James Bond, as they abandon their real identities once they accept the role of 007. In fact there's probably a more interesting movie in that simple idea than we're gonna see with Casino Royale later this year... I just wish they'd shake it up a little, y'know? I'd love to see a period Bond movie in the 50s or 60s, shorn of gadgets and just relying on our heroes physical skills and ruthlessness. And how about some actual spying for once, rather than going in all guns blazing? I think there's a lot you can do with the character that's never been done and is never going to be done...
